Naomi McAuliffe – Poverty and Human Rights Campaign Manager
Naomi runs the Poverty and Human Rights campaigns programme for Amnesty International UK, this includes working on Corporate Accoutnability, the Right to Housing and Ending Forced Evictions, the right to health and Improving Maternal Health, the Roma in Europe and intergovernmental anti-poverty initiatives and institutions such as the World Bank and Millennium Development Goals.
Previously Naomi ran the Stop Violence Against Women campaign for Amnesty in Scotland and has a background in health policy and environmental activism.
Workshop Description: Research in Practice
This workshop with explore how academic research can be used in advocacy and campaigning. We will look at how to partner with a campaigning charity or NGO or simply how to get your research into the hands of policy-makers.
