We are very pleased to open our conference with a panel-faciliated discussion on the topic of feminism and academic practice.
Our four panelists Morwenna Griffiths, Claire Duncanson, CR Stocks-Rankin and Katherine McMahon will open the discussion with short reflections of their own experiences as both feminists and academics and share some of their hopes for the future.
We will take these accounts as starting points for small group discussion of the questions, issues and complexities of being a feminist and doing feminist work in academica. The panel is designed to give the participants the opportunity to share their own experiences and dream up new possibilities for role of feminism in their work and life.
The session will start at 9am on Friday the 2nd of September and would last for one and a half hours.
